Highland Wildlife Park launches exclusive summer prize draw with behind-the-scenes experience

The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland is offering one winner and three guests a unique behind-the-scenes tour of Highland Wildlife Park led by RZSS chief executive David Field. The prize includes meeting animals such as twin snow leopard cubs, red panda Priya, and polar bears Aktos and Walker, plus lunch, an overnight stay, and a year of RZSS family membership.

Snow leopard twins born at Highland Wildlife Park

Highland Wildlife Park has announced the birth of two snow leopard cubs born on 25 May to first-time mother Pari and father Koshi, the park's first litter in four years. The cubs will remain in the den for several weeks before gradually appearing at the entrance, where they will stay with their mother for up to two years.

Highland Wildlife Park ranger completes conservation education exchange in Uganda

Stuart Owen, Discovery ranger team leader at Highland Wildlife Park, spent two weeks at the Ugandan Wildlife Conservation Education Centre (UWEC) as part of the International Zoo Educators Job Exchange Programme, sharing knowledge on conservation education. Owen visited five Ugandan national parks and worked with UWEC's education team, which teaches schools across Uganda about wildlife and conservation issues, and assisted in developing a bird flight display to change negative cultural attitudes towards owls.
