ZooPulseUK

What is ZooPulseUK?

ZooPulseUK is the UK's first dedicated zoo news aggregator — a single place to follow every birth, arrival, exhibit opening and conservation milestone happening across the country's best-loved zoos.

Why does it exist?

If you love UK zoos, you already know the problem. Zoo news is scattered across dozens of websites, Facebook pages and Instagram accounts. Miss a day, and you've missed a giant panda cub announcement or the opening of a new tiger exhibit.

Social media is noisy, algorithmic and siloed. There is no single place to see all UK zoo updates, news categorised by type, or a historical archive you can actually browse. ZooPulseUK fills that gap.

Who is it for?

  • Zoo enthusiasts who want to follow multiple zoos without social media noise
  • Conservation followers tracking breeding programmes and species news
  • Families planning visits who want to know what's new before they go
  • Anyone who's ever thought "I wish I'd known about that" after a zoo announcement

How does it work?

ZooPulseUK pulls news directly from zoo websites — politely, with full attribution and a link back to the original story. We use AI to categorise each post (births, arrivals, conservation, exhibits) and generate a plain-English summary.

We are not affiliated with any zoo, and we don't reproduce full articles — just a summary and a link to the source. All content belongs to the respective zoos.

Is it free?

Yes. ZooPulseUK is a free, independent, community project. There are no ads, no paywalls and no tracking. It is built and maintained by someone who just really likes zoos.
