2025 Year In Review

Hamerton Zoo Park is marking its 35th anniversary with a birthday celebration event on Sunday, June 15th, 2025. The zoo is releasing a brand new guide-book for sale to commemorate the milestone.

Hamerton Zoo Park has partnered with Nimbus Disability to simplify how visitors obtain complimentary Essential Companion tickets for those requiring additional assistance. The new online application process eliminates the need to bring sensitive documents on visit day, with applications valid for 3 years once approved.

Hamerton Zoo Park has finished renovating its toddler play area and opened a new 'cubes' play-frame in the main park. These visitor facilities upgrades are part of ongoing improvements to the zoo's amenities.

Hamerton Zoo Park has excavated and deepened the bears' pool, which had silted up from animal damage, and reinforced its banks. The bears will be housed in their dens and run during the works, with restricted access to the enclosure path.

Hamerton Zoo Park has started ground-works on a new 'Tree-Tops' rope-play-park, with main installation beginning after the May-Day weekend and completion targeted for summer holidays. The facility will provide an elevated play experience for visiting families.

Hamerton Zoo Park has opened an expanded gift shop stocking animal replicas, games, and toys imported directly from Zoos Victoria in Australia. The shop is the first in the UK to offer this range of Australian zoo merchandise, featuring replicas of species including quokkas, bilbies, numbats, spiny devils, and blue wrens alongside more familiar animals.
