Cotswold Wildlife Park hosted its eleventh annual Dreamnight At The Zoo on 5 June 2026, welcoming eighty families of chronically ill and disabled children for an exclusive after-hours experience. The event marked the park's 1,000th guest since joining the international initiative, which now spans over 200 zoos and aquariums across eleven countries.
Ten-year-old George Andrews raced the Park's 90-year-old Giant Tortoise George in a unique 'Eat vs Complete' challenge using an edible Rubik's Cube made from vegetables. The event raised funds for Midlands Air Ambulance, the charity that saved his grandfather's life.
Cotswold Falconry Centre will be based at Cotswold Wildlife Park on 23rd, 24th, and 25th May, offering visitors the chance to meet birds of prey and watch flying displays on the Anniversary Lawn. This is part of the Park's half-term programming.
Cotswold Wildlife Park has been shortlisted in the Best Family Experience category for the Bucks & Oxon's Muddy Stilettos Awards 2026. Voting is open until 26th May and visitors are encouraged to cast their votes.
Cotswold Wildlife Park marked World Donkey Day on May 8th with an enrichment walk for their Miniature Donkey family, Danny, Skedaddle, and their daughter Penny. The Education team uses the donkeys to teach work experience groups essential animal care skills including hoof picking and grooming.
During half term (23–31 May), Cotswold Wildlife Park will run a fundraising stall supporting Helpsimus and Impact Madagascar, with lemur-themed merchandise and a raffle offering a Lemur encounter as first prize. The Park houses seven lemur species, including the critically endangered Crowned Sifaka, and the funds will support crucial wild population conservation work.
The park will celebrate World Binturong Day on Saturday 9 May with a fundraising stall next to the Binturong enclosure in the courtyard. Visitors can purchase raffle tickets, with the first prize being an encounter with the Binturong, and speak to keepers about this special species.

Mary, an African Pygmy Goat, has reached her first birthday at the park's Children's Farmyard walkthrough exhibit. She lives alongside her mother Pico and other goats born in 2024, with the walkthrough open daily from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm for visitor interaction.
Following completion of the lake restoration and rising temperatures, Chilean Flamingos and Pelicans have returned to the open water alongside Red Breasted Geese and other species. The park houses 64 Chilean Flamingos and 4 Pelicans in a mixed-species exhibit that provides natural enrichment through co-habitation.
Four penguin chicks at the park are reaching their first birthday this spring, marking an important milestone for the species. The park hosted World Penguin Day on 25 April to raise awareness of threats facing penguins in the wild, with fundraising proceeds supporting Sphenisco, a charity protecting Humboldt Penguin breeding colonies in Chile, Peru and Europe.
Cotswold Wildlife Park has been crowned the top-rated safari in England in a Which? nationwide poll, with 81% of thousands surveyed naming it the best. The park was awarded for excellent visitor scores, value for money, conservation commitment, and transparent pricing.
The Skymaze playground area has undergone a complete renovation and update during the park's closure period. The refreshed facility reopened to visitors and is now available for families visiting during the Easter holidays.
The King Vulture enclosure has been expanded and relocated to a new position in the Walled Garden near the Penguins, with a rebuilt shed facility. The improved habitat now houses the park's King Vulture pair.
FeaturedA male King Vulture named Luther has joined the park and been introduced to female resident Vrouw in their expanded aviary enclosure. The pair have now settled together, though Luther's duller plumage will brighten as he matures.
The Cotswold Falconry Bird of Prey Centre will visit the park on multiple dates throughout April and May, offering visitors the chance to meet birds of prey and watch displays. Sessions are scheduled for 3–6 April, 2–4 May, and 23–25 May on the Anniversary Lawn.
Cotswold Wildlife Park has completed a full rebuild of its 'Skymaze' adventure playground, which reopened in March 2026 in time for the Easter Bank Holiday weekend. The modernised three-level treehouse complex features new climbing walls, rope bridges, and a 'Wonky Walkway', constructed using advanced materials including Robinia wood designed to extend the structure's lifespan.
Cotswold Wildlife Park has recalled multiple gift shop items due to a supplier safety issue and is asking customers to stop using them immediately. The park is offering full reimbursement to anyone who purchased the affected items.
FeaturedAn Emerald Dove has hatched at the park for the first time in its history, with the chick already displaying the species' characteristic vivid green wing pigment. The young dove, known as a 'squab', can be seen in the Tropical House exhibit alongside other bird species and sloths.
FeaturedA baby Coppery Titi Monkey has been born at the park, expanding the family group to 7 individuals. The youngster has recently been spotted climbing independently from its mother for the first time, marking an important developmental milestone.
