Birdworld launches first-ever art exhibition featuring 20 oil paintings by British artist Paul Nelson

Birdworld has opened The Birds, an art exhibition showcasing 20 original oil paintings by renowned British artist Paul Nelson, each inspired by the park's beloved birds including Boy the Toucan, Snowy Owls Moose and Elk, and Humboldt Penguins Squid and Penguin. The exhibition runs until 12 July in the newly transformed former Palm Café space, with a percentage of artwork sales donated to the Birdworld Conservation Fund.

Birdworld strengthens conservation partnership with South Africa for African penguin protection

Birdworld in Farnham has expanded its global conservation efforts through a new initiative linking the UK and South Africa to protect the critically endangered African penguin. Conservation Education Team Lead Mandy Glass recently completed a two-week placement with SANCCOB (Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds) in Cape Town to strengthen the partnership.

Birdworld has opened its new Play Barn, a 17,000 square foot indoor play area and café marking the second phase of the UK's largest bird park's multi-million-pound redevelopment. The facility opened in time for the Christmas holidays with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony on December 19.
