Golden lion tamarin born at CZS as part of European breeding programme

A single golden lion tamarin offspring was born on 29th April 2026 to parents Freia and Tree-trunks, who were paired as part of an EAZA Ex Situ Programme breeding recommendation. The new arrival is the second offspring for the couple, following the birth of female Esme in June 2025, and represents continued success in zoo-managed conservation efforts for this Endangered species.
