Newquay Zoo and Paignton Zoo secured by Dutch leisure company Libéma

Libéma, a major Dutch leisure operator, will take ownership of both Newquay Zoo and Paignton Zoo from 2 January 2026, securing their long-term future after Wild Planet Trust faced financial challenges. The acquisition marks Libéma's first UK venture and guarantees continuation of the zoos' conservation, education, and breeding programmes.
