Marsh clubmoss reintroduced to Hampshire heathland after habitat restoration

A rare 400-million-year-old plant species has been reintroduced to Eelmoor Marsh near Farnborough following decades of habitat restoration work by Marwell Wildlife. The endangered marsh clubmoss, which survives at only a handful of sites in England and Wales, requires wet, open peaty ground that conservationists have recreated through dam installation, peat exposure, and conservation grazing.
