Hemsley Conservation Centre advances small cat conservation with Geoffroy's cat breeding success

The birth of three Geoffroy's cat kittens represents a significant achievement for the zoo's small cat conservation programmes, following earlier success with rusty-spotted cats. Although Geoffroy's cats are globally classified as Least Concern, some localised populations are endangered and face threats from habitat loss, road mortality, and human conflict.
