UK primate pet trade ban becomes law: Monkey World celebrates March 2024 legislation

Monkey World successfully campaigned and advised the UK government on legislation to regulate the primate pet trade, which was passed into law in March 2024. The new law will ban primates from being kept as pets without a license from April 2026.
