Marwell Zoo celebrates 10-year milestone in scimitar-horned oryx reintroduction to Chad

A decade after Marwell Zoo sent 14 scimitar-horned oryx to the UAE as part of a reintroduction programme, the wild population in Chad has grown to around 600 animals. The species has been reclassified on the IUCN Red List from 'Extinct in the Wild' to 'Endangered', marking a major conservation success.
