Flamingo Land cares for rare Castlemilk Moorit sheep breed

Flamingo Land is home to Castlemilk Moorit sheep, a rare ornamental breed developed in the 1900s to resemble deer in parkland settings. With fewer than 1,000 breeding ewes remaining worldwide and a near-extinction event in the 1970s, the breed is classified as 'at risk' by the Rare Breeds Survival Trust.
