Three critically endangered Blue-crowned laughingthrush chicks hatch at Blackpool Zoo

Three Blue-crowned laughingthrush chicks have been successfully hatched and reared at Blackpool Zoo for only the second time, with parents Rupert and Melody hatching the eggs on 25 April. The chicks are vital to the species' survival, as fewer than 1,000 individuals remain in the wild and only 48 chicks were hatched globally in the past 12 months.
