Banham Zoo wins BIAZA Field Conservation Award for northern pool frog recovery

The Zoological Society of East Anglia (ZSEA) has won the BIAZA Field Conservation Award 2026 for its northern pool frog recovery programme at Banham Zoo. The northern pool frog, one of the UK's rarest amphibians and once considered nationally extinct, has been reintroduced to Norfolk since the 2000s with the project continuing to expand wild populations across the UK.
